Welcome to Solano Sports Physical Therapy. We provide quality physical therapy delivered by licensed physical therapists in a comfortable environment.

We have provided services in Solano County for over 23 years. We have a diverse, bilingual staff ready to serve you.

Michael Kassis, PT, MPT/Owner

Michael's educational journey started at Shasta High School, class of '87, in Redding, California. He then enrolled at U.C Davis where he played football for the Aggies and received his undergraduate B.S. in Exercise Science '92. From there he attended Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California where he received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy '95. New grad life had him working for Davis Orthopedic & Sport Physical Therapy as well as Kaiser Vallejo.  Next stop, Solano Sports Physical Therapy in Vacaville and 25 years later, it appears to be his last. 

He enjoys treating all orthopedic injuries and surgeries. Total knees, hips (Michael has had both of his hips replaced), shoulders, ankles and elbows. 

Michael has a passion for sports and sports injuries. He has been closely involved with modern approaches to rehabilitation for all ages and all injuries. He treats all ages of athletes and over the years has cared for the local high school athlete, the weekend tough mudder and professional athletes. 

He has specialization in industrial, work related injuries and has over 15 years of industrial consulting in safety and ergonomics. 

Michael and his wife Lisa have 6 children, Jacob, Jesse, Alexa, Carly, Kristen and Joey. Four grandchildren Lena, Beckham, Carter and Evander, one horse Pepper, multiple chickens, 2 cats Cheeto and Pismo and one amazing English Cream Retriever named Blake. 

Hobbies include bass fishing, BBQ cookoffs, everything Philadelphia Phillies and Dallas Cowboys and volunteering with Vacaville High School's football team.  He has been an assistant coach for 18 years serving as linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator. 

He is also a proud member of the Cornhole for Cole foundation which provides numerous scholarships for Vacaville and Will C. Wood seniors.

Jessica Alonte, PT, DPT

Jessica obtained her Bachelors of Science diploma from the leading PT program at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila in 2019. She received her Philippine PT license and went on to receive her credentials with a Doctorate-equivalent degree. She recently finished 6 months of externship here at SSPT, obtaining her California PT license. Through her education and clinical experience, she has also been exposed to a wide range of cases in cardiac, neurological and home-health settings. While specializing in orthopedic and sports PT, she focuses on maximizing a patient's holistic wellbeing using movement-based exercise programs. She believes movement is medicine and her goal is to get to know each patient, provide quality hands-on care and bring them to their optimum functionality. In her free time, she enjoys weight and sports training, trying new recipes using local Solano-county produce, exploring new restaurants and spending quality time with her family and being an auntie to their family’s Labradoodle.

Ashley Juhnke, PT, DPT

Ashley earned her B.S. from UC Davis in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior in 2011. She went on to graduate with highest honors from West Coast University receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Most of her experience is in orthopedics. When she is not at work she likes spending time with her husband and training their German Shepherd.
